Mehran Contrast-Induced Nephropathy Risk Score Mehran et al. 2004 Contrast-Induced Nephropathy (CIN) risk after Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI)

* 1. Age
* 2. Hypotension

Systolic blood pressure <80 mmHg for at least 1 hr requiring inotropic support or intra-aortic balloon pump support within 24 hr periprocedurally.

* 3. Intra-aortic balloon pump use
* 4. Congestive heart failure

New York Heart Association functional classification III/IV and/or history of pulmonary edema.

* 5. Anemia

Hematocrit level <39% for men and <35% for women

* 6. Diabetes mellitus
* 7. Volume of contrast medium used

* 8. Renal function

Please use Serum Creatinine OR eGFR as a criterion for renal function.
